SOFPR was founded in 2012 by former Aiken Promotions and Warner Music Ireland publicist Sorcha O’Flanagan, who has been working in the entertainment industry in Ireland for nearly 20 years.

For all media/marketing campaigns, Sorcha makes use of her comprehensive contacts within the Irish media to assist in the promotion and coverage of albums, DVDs, live events, festivals and television shows.

One of SOFPR’s many strategic strengths is the promotion of comedians and comedy events/festivals in Ireland and the UK (including the internationally renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival). For over ten years, she has worked as publicist for Irish comedian Tommy Tiernan, and has in no small way played a part in him selling out over 200 shows at Vicar Street. Sorcha also orchestrated the media/PR campaign for UK comedian John Bishop’s four sold-out shows at Dublin’s O2 in 2012.

But comedy is not only SOFPR’s strong suit – a vast range of music acts are also on the receiving end of similar exemplary service. Previous campaigns that Sorcha has overseen include those for Elbow, JLS, Neil Young, Rufus Wainwright, Bob Dylan, Flaming Lips, Christy Moore and Bob Geldof.

SOFPR covers all areas of media: traditional PR & Marketing (national television/radio/press) and social media on a national and regional basis (including Northern Ireland). SOFPR also expertly supervises event launches.

With a substantial media list, durable bonds with musicians, promoters, labels and venues nationwide, no job is too big, too small or too demanding for SOFPR.
